Start with the table
Read the classic setup note and keep its full reference open. Make sure everyone is learning the same format. A short overview helps you find your place; it cannot replace the complete rules.
Follow a turn
Bicycle describes the usual turn as drawing, optionally melding, then discarding. Practise narrating those stages with visible sample cards before trying to play quickly.
Focus on one question
Explore meld examples, then the discard-pile note. Read the chosen reference when a condition is unclear. Do not try to resolve all exceptions in the first ten minutes.
Record an agreed result
Use the scoring reference to organise a discussion, then enter the confirmed net changes in the scorekeeper. The record stores your result; it does not adjudicate it.
